After the successful design presentation of last week, there are nice and interesting progresses in the Powertrain department since my last post in January. First of all, I glad to announce that finally next week the renovated Fuel Cell stack will arrive from the ZBT research centre (in Duisburg, Germany). For this reason, we are working to prepare the lasts steps in order to be ready to test the stack as soon as possible. Indeed, after the selection of the air pump, I am working to select the optimal hydrogen recirculation pump. This include calculations of the predicted hydrogen flowrate and most favourable feeding pressure in working conditions and estimation of the pump power consumption (to keep the lowest possible). Finally, to make the stack ready for the in-house tests, Mihaela is working closely with Teesing to design the tubing system.
In the next updates I will publish some preliminary results regarding the performances of Fuel Cell system, confident to satisfy the expectation, thanks to our hard working.
